address confirmation and packing proof

PERSONAL VIDEO of send out (a personal video is a video off you dropping the letter in a locked mailbox with address visible, this includes letting go of the letter before stopping the video)

I pack in a sleeve and top loader. (I will expect the same or similar) Please keep in mind that cardboard does weigh more and will cost more to ship, if you use it please make sure your postage is correct. (I will ask for compensation if I have to pay more postage.)

I use envelopes and packing materials that are meant for sending cards for grading, I assure you, your pc will be well protected.

Please tape the top loader closed. I will hold you responsible if the pc gets damaged. This is faulty packaging and is your responsibility.

PLEASE DO NOT tape the sleeve the pc is in, or put any tape inside the top loader. (I will ask that you remove it.)

My envelopes are pretty small so my return address will be on the back of the envelope.

Be sure to read the description on the post / listing to see if they or looking for something specific and if they have an info page for you to read.

Send a message : "Hi! I have this card (whatever card you are offering, best to state the group, album and version of the card) if you were interested in trading for this card (whatever card you are wanting from them). Be sure to include any emoji they may have in their info as well.

Be sure to include if you are from a different country than the other person.

Then allow them 24 hours to respond. After 24 hours if they have not responded you can bump your message

If they agree to trading, the next step is to send a video showing the condition of the card you are offering, and getting one from them

Be sure to use the flash from your phone (window light and lamps do not show the card very well), and have your @user written on a piece of paper in the background of your video.

Check the video for any damages or if the card is a fake.

If you are you concerned about there possibly being damage, do not hesitate to ask. if you can screenshot and circle the area you are concerned about.

If everything looks good and you both are ok with how the cards look, you would then move onto the next step.

The next step is to send your address. Be sure to send it exactly how you would need to write it on an envelope. If you are trading with someone from another country it can be very hard to know how the address should be written.

You then would discuss when you would send out.

If you are new typically people will ask new traders to send out first. This means that they would wait to send their part until after they receive your part. It is usually listed in their info or they will ask.

Then you would pack the card. Be sure to properly pack the card, using a sleeve + toploader. Also include your @user (typically written with a thank you not)

Then send a photo of the letter with their address and how you have packed the photocard (commonly referred to as address confirmation and packing proof)

If your address is correct and you are ok with how it is packed, you would then send out.

Using a personal mailbox (your mailbox outside your house, or one that does not have a lock) is usually frowned upon in the community, and typically people will ask you to send first if you use one regardless of the amount of proofs you have.

Using a postal box or going to the post office is better and safer for you and the person you are trading with.

You should send a video of you dropping the letter off (commonly referred to as a send out video) This is a safety net for you as proof you sent the card.

Make sure to clearly show their address, and you letting go of the letter.

Avoid doing group send out videos where you only show the person's @user written on the back of the envelope and tagging in your story. These are commonly faked and can lead to scam accusations.

Mail can take a while to arrive. Patience is key! Unfortunately the person you are trading with has zero control and can not do anything about it.

Please do not bother people about it taking forever.

When you receive your cards make sure to post a proof. Since that is how you know you can trust that person.
